You ensure the quality of your publication through the expertise of the editorial board, clear editorial workflows, and a robust peer-review process.

- have no conflict of interest with the author. Any potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed by all individuals involved in the review process.
Examples of reviewer's reports
- Clear information and author guidelines on the website help avoid submissions that do not meet the journal’s standards or fall outside its scope.
- Scientific quality and relevance are determining factors in editorial decisions. The origin of a submission or business models like voluntary financial contributions (VAC) or any kind of membership must not play a role.
- Members of the editorial board should exercise great restraint when submitting their own work to their journal. The Diamond Quality Standards recommend that no more than 25% of the articles in an issue be authored by members of the editorial board.
Platforms such as Peer Community In (PCI) ease the review process for journals. In an open process (open peer review), experts review preprints of articles. PCI-friendly journals can then adopt the reviews provided by the PCI community instead of running another round.
