OS-APS is a single-source web-based software solution for scholarly publishers. Word documents can be converted into PDF, JATS XML, HTML, and EPUB formats.

Pre-designed templates are available. However, a development kit also allows users to create templates for custom designs.

OS-APS can either be self-hosted – for example, by a platform operator – or operated via the SciFlow instance.

OS-APS is the open-source publication software developed by SciFlow in collaboration with Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Georg-August University of Göttingen, and the Lower Saxony State and University Library in Göttingen.

With the JATS XML Converter Service, Word documents can be converted to JATS XML in just a few steps.

The converter was developed by the Zagreb University Computing Centre (SRCE) and is operated by the Croatian national repository Hrčak.
